I would like to thank Ciara, Frances and everyone at the Dublin Convention Bureau for all your support regarding ETAPS 2020. Even though the conference had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, our collaboration has made the whole experience an extremely positive one throughout. From the first contact, to the meetings at IBTM and IMEX, to the inspection trip in Dublin and all the support during these difficult times, working with the Dublin Convention Bureau has made everything very easy and smooth.

Having collaborated with different convention bureaus in Europe and beyond, I can honestly say that the Dublin Bureau is one of the most organized and effective bureaus I have had the pleasure of working with; it has definitely helped us in finalizing our decision on the venue. Since the Academic Organisers were so satisfied with how everything was handled during these difficult times, we hope to bring ETAPS back in the near future. In the meantime we will include Dublin in our shortlist of possible venues and I am sure we will see each other again in the near future.
